No demo, no beta
If you want to try before you buy, the honest answer is that you cannot. There is no demo on any storefront and no beta to sign up for. The only public hands-on happened at Gamescom 2026, where visitors could play a show-floor build.
What time does Transport Fever 3 unlock?
The game is out. It unlocked at 16:00 UTC on September 29, 2026, which is the same instant for everyone. The date looked different depending on where you were, which is where most of the pre-launch confusion came from.
| Where you are | When it unlocked |
|---|---|
| UTC | 29 September, 16:00 |
| Central Europe (CEST) | 29 September, 18:00 |
| UK (BST) | 29 September, 17:00 |
| US east coast (EDT) | 29 September, 12:00 noon |
| US west coast (PDT) | 29 September, 09:00 |
| Japan and Korea (JST / KST) | 30 September, 01:00 |
| China (CST) | 30 September, 00:00 |
One instant, different calendars. Anything published as "September 29" is correct for Europe and the Americas, and anything published as "September 30" is correct for Japan and Korea. Both are describing the same moment.
Worth knowing if you are about to install: the Steam store asks for 90 GB of free space, but the download sits around 27–29 GB and the game takes roughly 68.5 GB once unpacked. Leave headroom for patches rather than clearing 90 GB of other things.
Pre-order and loyalty discount
Pre-orders are open. Owners of Transport Fever 2 get a loyalty discount, with two restrictions that catch people out: it applies only to the digital Standard or Deluxe Edition, and only on the platform where you already own the previous game.
The loyalty discount does not apply to the Collector's Edition. Urban Games explained that the Collector's Edition sells through an external shop, where it cannot reliably verify which platform you own Transport Fever 2 on.

What happens on launch day
- Over 50 curated mods go live through the in-game mod hub.
- The campaign and the sandbox both open up.
- Reviews lift, so hands-on performance numbers become available for the first time.
This page is checked weekly. When the date moves, or when a demo appears, it changes here first.
