Fleet size

The official highlights video states over 300 vehicles available at launch. That covers rail, road, water and air across the game's time span.

Maintenance, and what happens when you skip it

Vehicles do not break down. They do not stop working. What happens instead is quieter and more annoying: as the maintenance level falls, the noise and pollution a vehicle emits rises, and its top speed drops.

A maintenance station covers a circle of influence. Intercity buses that pass through it stay in good condition. Local routes that never touch one degrade, which is easy to miss until a city starts complaining about noise.

The world does not end if you skip maintenance. You just make everything harder for yourself.

What is not in the launch build

Magnet-levitation trains such as the Transrapid are not included. The developers did not rule them out for the future, but they will not be there at release and nothing is planned. Mods can add both the vehicles and the infrastructure they need.

A full vehicle database with per-unit statistics will be published here once the game is out and the data can be checked in game rather than guessed from trailers.

FAQ

How many vehicles does Transport Fever 3 have?

More than 300 at launch, according to the official First Look: Highlights video.

Do vehicles break down?

No. A vehicle with low maintenance keeps running, but it gets louder, pollutes more and loses top speed.

Are there magnet-levitation trains?

Not at release. The developers have not ruled them out for later, but nothing is planned. Mods can add them.
